You can easily read it from above. It's a simple idea, but well executed. I have both a 2 cup and a 4 cup and they're used all of the time.
No more lifting the measuring cup up in the air or bending over to see the lines - just look straight down from the top and there you have it. Worth the price - much less expensive on Amazon than in more store.
I use it to put boiling water in my French Press, to make my coffee. I have had this 4 cup measuring cup for some time now, and have not been able to find a suitable replacement for it. Nearly every time, I have a fair portion spill out, and when you are working with boiling water, that is definitely NOT good.I have the metal 2 cup version of this measuring cup, and it is excellent. It is horrible. Don't get me wrong, the concept is nice, but it doesn't pour worth a darn. Why don't they make the metal version of this one. I would save my $, and buy something else, were I you.
Whoever thought of designing a measuring cup with an angle is a genius. The angled design of this makes measuring 100 times easier and more efficient. Never again will I have to lean down to see if I've hit the right line on the measuring cup. This product is also dishwasher safe and easy to clean. I use this measuring cup constantly and I absolutely love it. I don't know what I did without it. I didn't have any issues with the spout being too small. Excellent product.
Better than having to bend over to try and see the side, or pick it up to eye level and risk it moving and not getting an accurate measure. These are the best measuring cups I have owned. It makes it so simple to pour and get the right amount when you can look down and see how much. I bought the 4 cup and the 2 cup and that takes care of 90% of my baking/cooking needs. I'm still using my old Pyrex 1 cup measure, but I'm hoping something happens to it so I can replace it with this :)
